1968 el Camino
The car that thought it was a truck but we all knew that you can never go wrong with a el Camino!! With the business up front and the party in back it’s a perfect balance of a good time classic car/truck. This third generation el Camino was when Chevrolet introduced a longer based on the Chevelle station wagon, it also shares the Chevelle’s interior and exterior trims. Fun Fact!! The mid-1955 introduction of Chevrolet’s Cameo Carrier pickup truck helped pave the way for the El Camino. Plus with the inspiration of the Ford Ranchero it was a guarantee win for Chevrolet. There isn’t too many people that don’t like a el Camino.
Now you ask what are our plans for this 68?! This one will not be a full build but our work on it will be extensive enough. Our fabshop will be straightening out the chassis so it can support its new engine which will be a new ZZ 502 Deluxe Chevrolet engine.Which if that doesn’t blow your hair back we don’t know what will!! The rest will come as we go and as always we will update our project pages as the build goes….
