The Paint & Upholstery Shop
Our "paint shop" is located a few blocks away from
the rest of our shop facilities. We also do more that just painting there.
We also have an upholstery shop, and re-assemble cars there if we've done
a complete frame-off restoration. That also means we do our electrical re-wiring
here, too. We have two enclosed paint booths in this building.
While we won't be re-doing the interior, we will freshen it
up a bit. The main reason fro removing the seats and interior panels is
make any needed repairs and get them out of the way for painting.
And one last round of fine sanding before painting.
The first step is to paint the top, which you can see is a
bright silver flake. Unfortunately, these pictures do not do justice to
how great this really looks. The depth in the paint makes the flakes look
like they are floating in the paint. A real 3-D effect.
