Silver Dollar - Tails!
Here is a good look at the Milodon high-capacity oil pan.
Here you can see up inside the motor while the pan is off.
On the left ia a Meziere "True Start" Chevrolet
starter. On the right is a good look at the routing of the Flaming river
steering linkage.
The D&D Performance 5-speed transmission (with Lakewood
bell housing) is isolated with Energy Suspension polyurethane mounts. On
either side of the transmission cross member you can see the exhaust cutouts.
The horns are located under the body next to the fuel pump,
but you better close those cutouts if you want anyone to hear them!. With
the cutouts closed, the MagnaFlow mufflers take over and give that 572 the
kind of solid rumble that can only come from a big block motor.
The backup lights are tucked away behind the axle. With weight
on the axle they shine out just below while remaining hidden from view behind
the car.
The retractable license plate is pretty cool, but were still
trying to figure out how to make it do the James Bond plate switch. Not
that you'd really need it with that much horsepower.
