The next step in the project is to bob the rear fenders. When
Mr ford designed the originals, most roads were still paved with dirt, and
they needed to double as mud flaps. That's probably where the phrase, "here's
mud in your eye" came from. The only thing the Silver Dollar will be
flinging with its tires is burning rubber. Mud flaps are for trucks, not
hot rods.
