There are times when a fresh start is the best solution to a problem. In the case of this fine '59 Impala, a new body was the fresh start it needed to get to the long low and sleek cruiser you see today. In 1959, the Impala was radically re-styled with vast wrap around windows, horizontally protruding fins that covered “cat eye” tail lights, and a trunk large enough to house a pop-warner football team. The more luxurious interior offered some of the best design elements to come out of a Chevrolet plant with deep set hooded gauges, front and rear arm rests, dual sliding visors and crank operated vent planes.
The unmistakable fins of this 59 Impala are drenched in an eye searing two tone combination of orange and white that lead to the cars name; Crush. When Crush came to us it was clear this car was going to be a show stopper. We were entrusted to improve upon its lines with some minor clean up and extensive detail work to make sure everything was perfect. This meant many hours of meticulous restoration and massaging miles and miles of bodywork. When all was said and done Crush is now a car that cannot be ignored!
