For years, Dwayne Richardson has had an old '53 Ford F-100. Mostly it was taking up room in his garage while tinkered here and there with trying to restore it. Then one day he decided to get serious. He brought it to us, first for an engine swap (he wanted us to install a Hemi which he had seen in the shop), and finally asked us to finish the restoration Seems to be missing a few parts. Except for the missing body parts, the body was in pretty good shape and did not need much rust repair. So some of the bodywork was done before the body was taken off the frame. We had already swapped the engine and installed a new radiator when it was decided that we would complete the restoration. The motor is a 325 Dodge Hemi made in 1957 which has been rebuilt. The exhaust flanges are from Krogh Welding. That's a 355ci Dodge Hemi sporting an Edelbrock 500-cfm four-barrel carb, Offenhauser dual-plane aluminum manifold, O'Brien Trucker valve covers, Schneider Racing cam, Egge cast pistons (bumping compression to 9.25:1), Powermaster 140-amp alternator, Joe Hunt electronic ignition system and a set of Taylor 8mm wires. It's capable of producing 335-plus horsepower and 375-plus ft-lbs of torque. And it's real, real shiney!
