1931 Model A

1931 Model A

You can smell the history all over this 1931 Ford Model A!! It is truly a piece of American history!! When this car was first to hit the market it was called the A Model Ford, also the A-bone amongst rodders and customizers. This was the second huge success for Ford Motor Company after its predecessor the Model T. The prices of this car ranged from $385 to $1400 which was actually priced lower than other car companies. Also the cars came in 3 colors grey, black, and green. However this particular build has been repainted at some point and it’s hard to tell what its original color was.

This was part of the era of when mass production had been going on. By July of 1929 two million Model As were built and hitting the roads!! Plus by 1930 the Model A came in a very wide variety of styles but this is a Coupe just to be clear.

Our plans for this restoration build will be taking it fully apart of course, stripping the many layers of paint off with some media blasting, putting the body on a new frame. There will be more details as the planning stages come along and we will keep you up to date as we go along of course, so check back in as we update as we go…
