Mad Max Meets Hot Rods...
When the Falcon arrived at the shop most of us did a double-take
the first time we saw it. "What the [heck] is that?" was heard
more than a few times as people got their first look at it. Those of us
familiar with the Mad Max movies recognized what it was supposed to be,
but it still left most of us scratching our heads as we tried to nail down
the make and model of vehicle, only to give up when we saw the right-hand
drive and realized it was an overseas production model.
The job now is to make this car look less like a "kit"
car, and more like the real Mad Max Interceptor. We needed to blend that
kit to the body so it looks like an after-thought, and more like original
we all saw on the big screen. Once the body work is completed we'll give
it a nice coat of post-apocolypse black paint (no, that not a real PPG color).
