GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW 2017

Today is the day we have all been working so very hard for!! It’s the start of the Grand National Roadster Show 2017 and we are in building 4 with 4 displays!! You will get to view so many fantastic builds in this show that you will genuinely kick yourself if you don’t make it out to at least one of the days if not all three!!

However if you are coming to see our builds you will see our custom mixed gold pearl, flake pagan gold Kandy 1966 Buick Riviera that is by far a show stopper! It is chopped 3 ½”, Shaved cowl with hidden wipers, French trim moldings also  complete body-off restoration with powder coated  chassis we reshaped and fitted the bumpers and had custom made glass!! Of course under the hood is highly impressive with the 425ci Buick Nailhead Dual Quad GS plus it’s riding on 18” CCCyclewheels with one off caps and an Accu-air suspension and it is completely a build worth seeing from the inside out!!

Next up we have our House of Kolor custom “Kandy Egg Plant” 1932 3 window Ford coupe that is also a stunning build!! With its original body it sets on a Deuce Steel chassis made by us here at HRCS!! Under the hood has 425hp Smeding Performance 347ci Ford trans-gearstar AOD, The wheels are “Legacy” by Billet Specialties, the grill insert is Pines Winterfront by Alumincraft. The interior is all buttery leather done right here in house. Another build you don’t want to miss this weekend!!

Then of course we have displayed the 1940 Ford Deluxe coupe! This sadly was in a garage fire in Burbank CA and was fully roached out by the flames; we however brought it back as if a fire never got to it!! This was the Tom Medley car; he was the Cartoonist and creator of Stroker McGurk. In response of what had happened all of Tom’s friends and family had joined together to rebuild his car and get this at the time 91 year old hot rod legend back behind the wheel!! Since this rebuild Tom was able to see and drive his 1940 Ford but sadly passed shortly after and we miss Tom dearly.

The 1940 Ford has now been taken over by someone who loves this car and Tom. He has plans to have the car tour the country this year!! So keep a look out as it may be in a town near you soon!!

To top off what we brought we have our fully equipped, rolling Deuce Steel 1932 Ford chassis. This way it can give you an idea of what you should have your 32 sitting on. It’s a chassis worth looking at!! You’ll see our fine craftsmanship and hard work shine!!

So we hope to see you this weekend and don’t be shy, say hello to any of us as we are always happy to chat with you all!! See you at the show!!
