Rough Cut
Here's a couple close-ups on how the hood scoop was constructed.
The top piece, of course, was cut from the original hood and trimmed. Cardboard
cutouts are used to build up the sides. Then ist just a matter of laying
the fabric and resin.
The lower insides of the doors and window frames are steel
and gives them a good, solid feel. The latches are heavy-duty as well and
open and close easily.
A full set of gauges from Competition Specialties will keep
the driver informed and the layout makes them easy to read. The ventsyou
see are for the Vintage Air system hiding behind the dash.
Seat mounts are being mocked-up here. Overhead interior lights,
one over each of the four seat positions, are being wired.
