2003 50th Anniversary Corvette
Tuesday, June 30, 1953 Corvette #1, Serial Number E53F001001,
was pushed off of the assembly line, and Corvette production began. 50 years
later, they are still coming off of the assembly line and still setting
the standard for American sports cars.
In 1953 you could get your Vette in any color you wanted...
as long as you wanted white with a red interior. These days Cheverolet offers
a few more choices for discerning car buyers. Even so, there are always
those customers that want something different than what the dealer can order
from the factory. That's where we come in.
In this case the factory paint job was not what the customer
wanted. The factory color was alright, but it wasn't show quality. Originally
the customer thought that the addition of graphics might be in order, but
after seeing a number artist paint concepts, decided to stay with the plain
silver--in this case metalic flake silver.
