Body Sculpting - Without Liposuction.
Once all of the metal work is finished, the body needs to
get worked over. In order to achieve a really superb paint job, the surface
on which the paint is applied must be properly prepped. The surface must
be as smooth as possible. First, the bare metal is sanded to remove any
surface rust that may have begun during the fabrication process. Then the
car is sealed with an epoxy primer. Body filler is then applied and sanded
down smooth. Once done the paint can go on.
Piece by piece the whole car will get the same treatment.
The hood is left on so that the edges of the hood and fenders
can be matched. Once that is done, additional work will be completed with
it off.
