A Picture Worth a Thousand Words.
Beyond the creation of websites like this, digital cameras
have made the job of vehicle restoration a lot easier. Before we began taking
the woodie apart, we took photos inside and out, and continued to do so
as we took it apart. Those photos became our assembly manual when it was
time to put everything back together. Here, Troy examines disassembly photos
to make sure that he is installing the tailgate hardware correctly. Since
manuals are often not available, this is a real time and headache saver.

The '39 Pontiac did not have a full length head liner. It
only covered the driver and front seat passenger. That's O.K. though--covering
up all that beautiful wood would be a shame.
