Floors & Firewalls
Floors & Firewalls! Sort of sounds like one of those specialty
furniture stores, doesn't it? In our case it means more sheet metal.
In this photo you can see the angle to the floor. This was
done to provide head clearance by lowering the seats into the frame at an
angle. The seets will be mounted further to the rear to extend leg room.
The new firewall will be 1.5 inches further back than normal
to provide extra room for the motor.
The green tape indicates where cut outs will be made in the
firewall. The masking tape indicates where the firewall will be creased
to increase its strength.
On to the PullMax. Running those creases down the length of
the firewall will stiffen the sheet metal and help it resist flexing.
Bringing the two together.
